Jazz Fest 2015 will host one of the legends of rock n’ roll this year. The Who will be playing in what could be the most historic Jazz Fest ever. This calls to question of why the fest is still called “Jazz Fest.” Well to save you all the arguing and confusion we have already changed the name. Now the festival will go by “Most of the time Rock and sometimes Pop Fest.” We understand that this may complicate the t-shirts and cups that have already been printed, but just toss those aside.
Soon they will announce what “they” have decided to be the biggest act to ever play at the festival. Well if its not a projection of Miles Davis playing or more currently whats left of Led Zeppelin, then its probably Beyonce.
Nonetheless true rock music doesn’t start until at least 11p.m. which in that case go see the current local talent in the area during the fest!
They made an album called Quadrophenia because it was the first album ever recorded in Quadrophonic. Which for the non-audiophiles out there means that it was recorded in 4 channels. Today, that kind of ambition is absent and it shows. After enough “first albums” and “first singles” getting “world famous” in a matter of hours, we all are starving for something more. Something that our kids will be hearing at the 2050 “Formerly Jazz and currently Dubstep Fest.”
We produced two music videos over the holidays. Check them out below!
Lovin’ Touchin’ Squeezin’ by Journey
In early 2014 we added Russell Zimmermann, our keyboard and pianist, to the band. Since then he has largely contributed to the diversity of the group, allowing us to play music we were never before able to. Once he was fully comfortable with the band we started to grow, along with our calendar.
Along with Russell, we added our dear friend Matt Keegan to our arsenal. Matt handles our complex sound, lighting, and effects. He has allowed us to focus more on the music while he mans the controls to our contraptions. With Matt, we were able to have dialed in sound for every gig no matter the environment and have a kick-ass light show to accompany it.
Looking ahead at 2015, we already have some shows booked. Expect to see even more excitement as we continue to grow and expand our musical horizons. Also, a huge thanks to everyone that has helped us get to where we are today! To our patient neighbors, our loyal fans, and our behind the scenes helpers. Thank you!!
